Hydropower is one of the oldest sources of energy on the planet. Today, hydroelectric power plants generate more than 16% of all electricity on the planet and about 70% of all renewable energy in the world.
Despite the rapid development of non-traditional energy industries in recent decades, most of the world’s electricity is still generated by thermal power plants. At the same time, the growing demand for electricity every year has a stimulating effect on the development of thermal energy.
