1 General information

1.1 Cabinets (panels*) of ЩО-ЭК series and boards derived from them are applied with the electric equipment with voltage of 220 V, 380 V, 660 V, with frequency of 50 Hz for various facilities of industrial purpose, public, sports, cultural and entertainment constructions and as part of distribution devices (DD-0.4 kV) of power energy facilities both for those under construction and for those under reconstruction as well as for replacement of old or broken panels of ЩО70, ЩО90, ЩО94, ЩО96 series (other series of ЩО panels) of the operating facilities.

1.2 ЩО-ЭК cabinets can be manufactured for operation with four-wired or five-wired power circuits.

1.3 Structurally ЩО-ЭК cabinets are the volumetric metallic structures with the devices installed inside and accomplished electric connections. Cabinets’ maintenance is single-sided or double-sided (upon the Customer’s request), on the maintenance side there is a single-wing door. Cabinets make it possible to install them on the cable channel or in apertures, cables or buses lead-in is made from the power source and that of cables from consumers is from the down side.

Dimensional and setup parameters are shown on pictures 1, 2.

Cabinet weight is no more than 250 kg (up to 1000 А) and no more than 400 kg  (above 1000 А).

1.4 According to functional designation ЩО-ЭК cabinets are divided into:


  • lead-in – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-1 – ЩО-ЭК-54;
  • sectional, lead-in and sectional – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-101 – ЩО-ЭК-129;
  • lead-in and distribution – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-201 – ЩО-ЭК-272;

For the cabinets with nominal current of up to 1600 А the dimensions are:
L=700 mm; L1=450 mm; L2=500 mm

For the cabinets with nominal current of above 1600 А the dimensions are:
L=900 mm; L1=650 mm; L2=700 mm


  • distributional – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-301 – ЩО-ЭК-327;
  • accounting – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-401 – ЩО-ЭК-402;
  • bus wired – standard performance is ЩО-ЭК-501 – ЩО-ЭК-508;


Lead-in cabinets provide:

  • reception of power energy from power source;
  • protection of power supply circuit from short-circuit currents and overloads;
  • protection from single-phase short circuits with the help of remote protection in the neutral conductor;
  • measurement of voltage value;
  • measurement of current on phases;
  • possibility of power energy accounting;
  • automatic turn off (turn on) of lead-in breaker upon the commands of ATS block (if available in the sectional cabinet) or switching for the standby lead-in.

1.5 Sectional cabinets provide:

  • autonomous operation of each lead-in for its bus section;
  • operation of each lead-in (within one turn off) for singular bus sections;
  • automatic switching of power supply from the standby lead-in upon the command of ATS block (if available);
  • manual turn on (turn off) of bus connecting control breaker;
  • manual or automated turn on (turn off) bus connecting breaker.


1.6 Distribution cabinets provide:

  • distribution of power energy among consumers;
  • protection of outgoing circuits from short-circuit currents and overloads;
  • measurement of consumer’s current in one of the three phases;
  • possibility of power energy accounting.

1.7 Accounting cabinets (hinged box with the installation on the vertical framework) provide accounting of power energy.

1.8 Bus wired cabinets (busbar bridges) provide power energy connection of buses with two-row board complexity (distance between cabinets facades is no less than 1500 mm or 2000 mm) or single-row board complexity with interruptions.

2 Complete set

2.1 The delivery package includes:

  • low voltage distribution switchboard (ЩО-ЭК cabinet or board consisting of ЩО-ЭК cabinets);
  • set of spare parts;
  • set of operational documentation.

 

3 Order formation

3.1 Order for manufacture and delivery of ЩО-ЭК cabinet or board consisting of ЩО-ЭК cabinets is made on the form of configuration data sheet or in any other form with indication of all the issues mentioned in the configuration data sheet.

There must be indicated the language for operational documentation execution.

3.2 Any other Customer’s requests are to be agreed in the contract (agreement) for manufacture and delivery.

Note 1. Cabinets from ЩО-ЭК cabinets can be supplied both stacked (up to five boards) and as separate cabinets prepared for stacking into unite board on the assembly site.

Note 2. When ordering ЩО-ЭК cabinets for replacement of the cabinets of old ЩО series it is allowed to indicate the old type (standard performance) of the cabinet.

Note 3. In some cases (during design from scratch) it is allowed to provide just single-line scheme of cabinet (without division into cabinets) with the indication of the number of lead-ins, section breakers, their nominal currents, number of outgoing circuits (consumers), and nominal currents of chains (consumers’ capacity). All other data are to be specified within the process of agreement.
