1  General   information

1.1 DCB (cabinets and panels) are used for provision of the control, automation, protection, management, measuring of parameters and alarm system of power energy facilities (transformer substations, transformers, auto-type transformers, generators, generator-transformer installations, power lines) with voltage of 35?500 kV of power systems of those under construction and under reconstruction or for the replacement of the old or broken panels of ЭПА, ЭПЗ, ЭПО, and ЭПУ series.

1.2 Cabinets and panels are manufactured for the work with variable-frequency sources of 50 Hz or direct current control power.

1.3 Structurally cabinets and panels are closed or open metal structures with the installed facilities and devices and accomplished power connections between them. Maintenance of cabinets and panels is double-sided. Closed metal structures have a door on the front side (it can be glassed upon the Customer’s request), on the back side the door is double-wing. Cabinets and panels enable their installation over the cable channel or in the aperture, cables lead-in from the downside. Control cabinets can have single-line scheme.

Overall dimensions of cabinets (height?length?depth) make (2200?800?600) mm. Upon the Customer’s request for the replacement of broken cabinets and panels or for modernization or reconstruction of operating power facilities overall dimensions may vary.

Cabinets and panels weight is no more than 200 kg.

1.4Upon the Customer’s request technical design solutions in the cabinets and panels can be done on the base of relay and contact, non-contact and microprocessor bases of the national production and production of world leading companies of CIS countries and far abroad with combination of protection and control functions in one product, possibility of connection to the automated control system of power facilities and data collection on the standard communication protocols МЭК 60870-5-103, МЭК 61850, PROFIBUS, FMS/DP, DNP 3.00, MODBUS, ASCII/RTU.

 

2  CABINETS AND PANELS ON PROCESSOR ELEMENT BASE

2.1 General technical parameters of cabinets and panels for substations are provided in table 1.

2.4.1 ПЗЛ cabinets and panels are applied as devices for main and backup protection of power lines with voltage of 110?220 kV with one-way and two-way power supply or as devices for protection of power lines with voltage of 330 kV without one-phase automatic re-closing and where electromagnetic transients do not differ much from the processes on the lines with 220 kV. Cabinets and panels make it possible to perform the functions of automation and control over the high-voltage breakers. In the cabinets and panels there are installed from one to several microprocessors, operational control devices, test/assay devices, alarm systems as well as devices for arrangement of link channels with ACS. Sets in cabinets and panels are structurally independent and have independent control units and series of clamps.

2.4.2 ПЗТ cabinets and panels are applied as devices for protection of step-down transformers of substations and depending on the standard performance can consist of:

main transformer protections; backup transformer protections and breakers control automation of HV; differential current protection of reactors, bus arrangements (BA) of LV; load tap change (OLTC) automation.

In cabinets and panels there are installed from one to three microprocessors, operational control devices, test/assay devices, alarm systems as well as devices for arrangement of link channels with ACS. Sets in cabinets and panels are structurally independent and have independent control units and series of clamps. OLTC automation can be made on the basis of the devices manufactured by various manufacturers the type of which is defined when ordering.

2.4.3 ПЗТБ cabinets and panels are applied as devices for protection of unit generation transformers. Depending on the standard performance cabinets and panels may contain the following sets:

  • main and backup protections of unit generation transformers;
  • protection of bus arrangements of HV of unit generation transformers;
  • backup differential protection of power-generating unit;
  • protection of power-generating units generators.

2.4.4 ПЗТС cabinets and panels are applied as devices for protection of operating and backup service transformers (ST) of power plants, automation of lead-in breakers and protection of main bus wires. Depending on the standard performance cabinets and panels may contain the following sets:

  • main protections of service transformers;
  • backup protections of HV of service transformers;
  • backup protections of LV of service transformers;
  • protection of HV bus arrangement of backup service transformers;
  • OLTC control automatics of service transformers.

In cabinets and panels there are installed from one to three microprocessors, operational control devices, test/assay devices, alarm systems as well as devices for arrangement of link with ACS. Sets in cabinets and panels are structurally independent: they have independent control units and series of clamps. OLTC automation can be made on the basis of the devices manufactured by various manufacturers the type of which is defined when ordering.

2.4.5 ПЗШ cabinets and panels are applied for protection of buses of various configuration and bus arrangement with voltage of 110?220 kV. ЗШ cabinets and panels also make it possible to perform the functions of BFP and backup protection of feeders. Bus protection can be based upon the two principles: centralized bus protection or allocated bus protection. ПЗШ cabinets and panels depending on the standard performance may consist of one or more independent sets. Each set is made as a separate assembly unit. All external connections of sets are made with the help of series of clamps. Sets are maintained independently.

2.4.6 ПЗГ cabinets and panels are applied as the complex of protections for generators of low and medium capacity operating for collecting bars, power-generating units generators and breakers control automation of generators. Depending on the standard performance cabinets and panels may include the following sets:

  • main and backup protections of generators;
  • protection of excitation systems of generators;
  • breakers control automation of generators;
  • automatic synchronizer.

In cabinets and panels there are installed from one to three microprocessors, operational control devices, test/assay devices, alarm systems as well as devices for arrangement of link with ACS. Sets in cabinets and panels are structurally independent and have independent control units and series of clamps.
